Before & After Care
Before & aftercare February 17, 2025
Last week
- Valentine’s Day: The kids had some pretty cool Valentine’s Day lego challenges such as making different styles of hearts and writing out the word love with Legos. I actually sat down with the brain flakes station and we all laughed as they tried to think of how to help me fix my heart that I was making. Some of the kids have decided that they want to work to paint sunsets- they practiced blending this week. We also had special Valentine’s stations available for the kids to choose from on Friday. Some of our older kids really love to play bingo. They were very interested in our conversation heart challenges too.
This WEEK
- Childhood Games: We are going to have some nostalgic stations this week. The kids will get to learn hand clapping games and jump rope cheers. We also managed to find marble run ideas for almost every part of the room. It should be fun to watch them play with marbles in so many different ways.
- Art: The kids will have the opportunity to make some pretty funny or cute magazine collages. I can’t wait to see where their imagination takes them. The kids really love to paint, so we will see what happens when we scrape different colors of paint to make art.
- Blocks: We’re going to add some unusual items to the block area such as toilet paper tubes, clothes pins, popsicle sticks, and a cookie sheet. The kids have made some really cool items lately. Having different items will encourage them to think creatively with their builds.
