this week
- The kids are absolutely obsessed with the old cordless phones and police badges in the dramatic play area. We figured out how to use light color filters to represent a police car. One funny moment from this week was when the kids handed me a picture of a train and an envelope and then tried to interview me because I apparently stole a train. The kids really enjoyed making paper helicopters. It’s always funny how I can start by showing one or two kids how to make something and then more kids keep gravitating towards me. We have spent extra time outside this week celebrating the beautiful weather. It was fun being the third base coach and telling the kids when to run more than for just one base.
NEXT WEEK
- We will celebrate Earth Day. Please send your child in old clothes on Monday, April 22, 2024. We will pick up litter around the property and potentially pull weeds in the garden. Even though the word palindrome might go over their heads, we do plan to point out to the kids how cool it is that the dates will read the same forward and backwards during April 20-29, 2024.
reminders
- Networking: We are looking for horses to walk in our preschool/ pre-kindergarten Derby parade. The green room also needs 5 wagons for the green room kids to ride in during the parade. Please contact the office if you can help us.
- Earth day – April 22nd
- No public school on Friday, May 3rd. Please let Ms. Jennifer know if your child will be attending. Thanks!
