This week
- These kids like to go go go! We had so much fun exploring different types of transportation. First, we made an airplane where we enjoyed counting the windows and wings. We read Dr. Seuss “Wings Wings Wings”. Then we created hot air balloons. The kids thought it was funny because we used their picture to be the person in their balloons. We created another plane using a mosaic technique. We enjoyed going outside and looking to the skies to see if we could spot any airplanes or hot air balloons! Our next focus was touching on the great steamboat race. Who doesn’t like a good race? We had a steamboat race in our water sensory bins. Lastly, made a firework art to kick celebrations for Thunder over Louisville.
- We are still looking for families to allow us to use their wagon for the Derby parade on May 1st. If you have a wagon that we could borrow for the day, please speak with office staff or Ms. Williams. Thanks!
Next Week
- Earth day is on Monday 4/22 where we will create an earth using plates. We will discuss land vs. water. Then began to discuss and create flowers, create our own spring bird, then start to create our derby objects for our parade!
Things to Know
Clothes bins will be sent home on 4/19/24 to be restocked with spring/ summer clothing. Please return bins on 4/22/24. Bins should include 3 pairs of shorts, 3 shirts, 3 underwear, and 3 pairs of socks. 1 Extra pair of shoes.
