  • Community Helpers

    Students designed their own city in conjuction with their community helpers unit. Each student was able to choose their own community building to create. Some of the buildings included a police station, fire department, grocery store, schools, post office and a hospital. They put their city on display for other classrooms and families to see.
  • Shadows

    Students focused on shadows during the week of Groundhogs Day. Teachers provided students with flashlights and encouraged them to create shadows with objects in the classroom. Students quickly recongized that their bodies made shadows when outside in the sun. Students brought paper and markers out to trace the shadows of their favorite playground toys.
  • Dinosaur Museum

    Students designed and created their own dinosaur museum after their dinosaur week. The teacher challenged the students to create a display for the entire building to veiw. The students themseleves chose to put on a dinosaur museum. These students lead the entire project and was so proud to display it for the school to see.
