This week we focused on families! We used playdough to try and make our parents, siblings, or grandparents. We made shape pictures and hung them up on bulletin board along with our paintings from last week. We focused on the first letter of our name and we enjoyed singing heads, shoulders, knees and toes and 5 little ducks. We read MANY books about mommy’s and daddy’s and family members! This group loves hearing stories! We had many great helpers this week! We had many friends who helped teacher sweep, pick up trash, and used very good manners and nice words with our friends!
Next week will be fire safety! We will be discussing fire fighters, trucks, alarms, ladders, bells, etc. We will be working on the colors red, green, yellow and orange. We will be introducing how to stop, drop and roll! We will work on matching community helpers to their vehicles and equipment. Outside we will play red light green light and ask the kids to pretend to drive a fire truck. The Charlestown Fire Department will be stopping by on Thursday to speak to the students about fire safety and show the kids what they would look like in all their gear in case of a fire. We will be singing “The more we get together” & “five little firemen”.
• Picture day is September 29th! No payment is due at this time. Parents will be able to preview the image and parents will be able to choose if they’d like to purchase or not. • Happy Fall!
